On the first Friday of August, Brno's Jakubské náměstí (St. James's Square) in the city centre will once again host the traditional Alex's Summer Jam — an exhibition fencing show featuring Czech fencer and world champion Alex Choupenitch. From 7 pm to 10 pm, guests can look forward to a fencing duel along with live musical performances.

Alex Choupenitch was born in Brno, where his fencing career first took off. At the 2020 Summer Olympics in Tokyo, he won a bronze medal. In July 2026, he became the first Czech fencer to win a world championship title, beating his Italian opponent in the final of the tournament held in Hong Kong.
