Dvůr Králové killing: child under 15 confesses to police, Czechia

Child confesses to police in killing of 30-year-old man in Dvůr Králové

In the town of Dvůr Králové nad Labem, a person under 15 has confessed to police to involvement in the death of a 30-year-old man. Because of their age they are not criminally liable, so police are not releasing further details, police spokeswoman Martina Jandová said.

According to Jandová, the person has been placed in an appropriate educational facility under a preliminary court order. A court will then decide whether to impose protective education. “This is the maximum of information we can provide on the case,” she added.

Lucie Hanušová, spokeswoman for the regional ambulance service, said paramedics arrived at the scene on Tuesday shortly after 10 p.m. The injured man was unconscious with stab wounds. He could not be saved.
