Hluboká nad Vltavou councillor’s car arson: where the case stands

ČT journalists show how the arson case involving a councillor’s car in Hluboká nad Vltavou is unfolding

Reporters from Czech Television (ČT) in Hluboká nad Vltavou have followed the progress of the case of the arson attack on the car of local councillor Martin Weber (KDU-ČSL). While they were filming, the director of the construction firm Dato CB, František Vaclavek, drove a car at their crew.

According to investigators, Vaclavek ordered the February arson of the politician’s car. Besides him, police proposed in late October that two more people be sent to court.

The ČT report showed how Vaclavek reacted when journalists tried to put questions to him about the case, and how local politicians comment on the way the story is developing.
