Czech journalists have obtained a photograph of a meeting between lobbyist Roman Janoušek and Bojan, whom they describe as a Balkan mafia boss. According to the outlet, the meeting took place on 4 March 2025 in Janoušek’s glass-walled office in Prague, and Bojan himself confirmed that a working meeting did happen.
In the picture, Janoušek sits in his office gesturing, with Bojan opposite him in a black jacket. The journalists describe the two as clearly arguing, with Bojan holding a pencil. They determined the time of the shot from Janoušek’s gold watch, which showed 10:30. Janoušek did not answer questions about the meeting.
Bojan first asked for the photo to be sent to him, then replied that he was in Slovakia. He said a working meeting had indeed taken place, but he could not remember whether it was in March 2025. He did not say what was discussed. Asked whether he often holds such talks with lobbyists and billionaires, he replied that Czech and foreign developers and billionaires approach him from time to time, usually through intermediaries like Janoušek.
Janoušek is a lobbyist and political “godfather” who made billions of crowns during ODS governments. He had not previously been linked to organised crime. According to media reports from October 2025, Bojan and Janoušek had unresolved business disputes: Bojan believed that the group around Janoušek owed him tens of millions of crowns for past services.
According to those reports, in mid-2025 Bojan attacked Janoušek with a fork at the Kogo restaurant on Havelská Street in Prague. Janoušek was, according to a source, protected at the last moment by a bodyguard, and the fork pierced the bodyguard’s hand.
According to the sources, the dispute concerned the Phoenix Palace in the upper part of Wenceslas Square, which Janoušek and his partner Tomáš Pitr ultimately took control of. Pitr was a business partner of the murdered crime boss František Mrázek. Those same reports say Bojan had already received 80 million crowns from Pitr and demanded another 75 million for old and new services.
In October 2025, Pitr said that Janoušek had no contacts with people from the criminal underworld. The photograph, in the journalists’ assessment, suggests otherwise. A source from that milieu said there is tension around Janoušek and Pitr: several people, including politicians, are unhappy that the group allegedly did not pay them.
