Early Sunday morning, an incident took place at a bar on Nušlova Street in Prague's Stodůlky district: an intoxicated bartender pulled out a registered firearm during a scuffle with equally drunk patrons. No one was injured in the altercation.

According to police spokesman Richard Hrdina, the conflict broke out between the bar's staff and a group of foreign guests. At some point, the bartender serving the customers pulled out a legally owned firearm, prompting a call to emergency services.

The nearest available patrols were dispatched to the scene immediately. Within a short time, around twenty armed police officers were on site, and they managed to bring the situation under control quickly.

Officers ultimately detained a 53-year-old man suspected of committing the crime of dangerous threat. Under Czech law, if found guilty in court, he faces up to three years in prison.
