Firefighters Battle Forest Blaze in Chomutov

A wooded area in Chomutov caught fire on Wednesday evening, with fire crews dispatched to the scene just minutes after 8 p.m.

According to the fire service, the effort to bring the blaze under control involved professional firefighters from Chomutov’s central fire station, a unit from the Chomutov Railway Administration, as well as volunteer firefighters from Jirkov and Spořice.
