Formula 1's official Facebook account has published a photo of Czech President Petr Pavel taken at the Hungaroring circuit during the Hungarian Grand Prix. Pavel attended the race as an accredited photographer, shooting the action on track alongside professional photojournalists.

"A passion for motorsport photography! Petr Pavel, President of the Czech Republic, headed trackside at the Hungaroring to capture the action on track!" reads the caption accompanying the photo on Formula 1's official channel.

Alongside the president, renowned Czech photographer Jiří Křenek was also working at the event and shared several shots from their joint shoot with Pavel on Instagram.

Hungarian politician Péter Magyar, who was also at the race, took notice of the Czech leader's presence. Writing on X, he said: "Do you know who this photographer is that I ran into on the starting grid at the Hungaroring today? It's Petr Pavel, President of the Czech Republic, here on a private visit as an amateur photographer."

President Pavel witnessed a race won by McLaren's Lando Norris. Max Verstappen finished second, with Andrea Kimi Antonelli taking third place, the latter currently leading the championship standings.
