Police are searching for a minor girl who fled a children's summer camp in the area around the Czech town of Trutnov. According to police, the missing girl is in a distressed psychological state and has no identification, money or mobile phone with her.
Police spokeswoman Karolína Ginková confirmed on Thursday evening that the girl climbed out of the camp building through a window and may have headed towards the village of Chotěvice or into the surrounding woods.
A large-scale search operation is underway near the village of Chotěvice (Stará Kateřina) — all available police patrols have been deployed, along with a helicopter equipped with thermal imaging.
Police have released a description of the girl: she is wearing a blue-and-white striped T-shirt and grey shorts, and has chestnut-red hair cut in a bob style with pink braids woven into it.
The missing girl is Nina Friedrichová. Police are urging anyone who has seen her or has information about her whereabouts to call the emergency line 158 immediately or contact the nearest police station.
