In Czechia, on the road between the villages of Lipová-Lhota and Budětice, a 76-year-old German citizen fell off her e-bike on a completely flat stretch of road. This was reported by police spokeswoman Iva Vršecká.
According to the regional ambulance service, the woman suffered moderate to serious injuries. Rescue service spokesman Martin Štěpán said she had to be airlifted by helicopter to a medical facility.
Police were unable to carry out a breathalyser test on the injured woman at the scene, so a blood sample was ordered to be taken at the hospital instead. According to Vršecká, the woman was wearing a helmet at the time of the accident. Police are still investigating the exact cause and circumstances of the crash.
