Vinohrady Hospital invites donors to a Halloween blood drive

Vinohrady Hospital in Prague is inviting people to a Halloween blood drive. The venue will be decorated for the occasion, and donors will receive gift sets and a sweet surprise.

First-time donors are welcome too, and no appointment is needed. Medical staff will decide whether a person is eligible to donate during the usual check-up before the procedure.

Supplies need constant topping up

There is a serious goal behind the playful name of the event. A single donation can help two or three patients, and the procedure itself takes about ten minutes. The transfusion department reminds the public that blood supplies must be replenished constantly. Current stock levels and other information for donors are available on the hospital's website: www.fnkv.cz/kdy-prijit.php.
