In Kherson, a 52-year-old man originally from Mykolaiv region became the victim of a Russian drone attack. According to Ukrainian police, the moment of the strike was caught on camera — the man was trading at a market when the drone detonated near him.
As a result of the attack, the victim suffered multiple shrapnel wounds and a concussion. Police emphasize that since the man was at the market engaged in trade, it would have been obvious to the Russian drone operators that they were targeting a civilian, not a military objective.
In Kherson and the wider Kherson region, drone attacks on civilians have become an almost daily occurrence. Rescue workers and public transport are frequently targeted as well. On Monday alone, according to police, Russian attacks in the Kherson region killed two civilians and wounded eighteen others.
Although the released footage serves as compelling evidence of Russian war crimes, Ukrainian police, alongside publishing the video, urged residents to prioritize their own safety. "If you spot a drone, never try to film it. Seek shelter immediately. Your life and health are worth more than any footage," the police statement read.
