US Court Keeps Tate Brothers in Custody as Britain Seeks Their Extradition

A US court has ruled that Andrew Tate and his brother Tristan will remain in custody in the United States while Britain's extradition request is being considered. According to British prosecutors, the charges relate to four alleged victims and include rape, physical assault, human trafficking, as well as offences involving indecent images of children and extreme pornography.

British prosecutors say the alleged offences date back to the period between 2010 and 2017. The brothers' lawyer has called the extradition request "politically motivated," without offering further explanation.

Back in May last year, British prosecutors announced a total of 21 charges against the brothers — including allegations of abuse against women between 2012 and 2015 in an area north of London, where the Tates grew up. Both brothers deny all the charges.

The Tate brothers, known for promoting hyper-masculinity and boasting millions of social media followers, moved to Romania in 2016. There, in 2022, they were arrested and charged with running fraudulent schemes to lure women for sexual exploitation. In February last year, the brothers relocated to the United States.
