Woman dies after falling from moving Ford Mustang in Horní Bříza, Plzeň region

A 28-year-old woman has died in the town of Horní Bříza in the Plzeň region after falling from a moving Ford Mustang last week. The news was confirmed on Friday morning by police spokeswoman Eva Červenková.

According to her, police have opened a criminal investigation on suspicion of causing grievous bodily harm through negligence.

The accident took place near a kindergarten. According to preliminary police findings, the woman was riding in the car with a 30-year-old driver. As the vehicle was taking a left turn in Horní Bříza, she tried to open the door to free her seatbelt, which had become caught in it. At that moment, she fell out of the moving car.

Paramedics treated her at the scene and rushed her to hospital, said rescue service spokesman Martin Štěpán. Despite medical efforts, the woman died from her injuries.

It later emerged that the man behind the wheel was not legally allowed to drive — his driving licence had previously been revoked, Červenková added.
