Woman Jumps From Moving Train at Prague

On Thursday at around 2:00 PM, a woman opened the doors of a train carriage herself and jumped from the moving train at Prague-Libeň station, police spokesman Jan Rybanský reported. The victim, believed to be around 30 years old, was soon found on the tracks.

According to rescue services spokeswoman Jana Poštová, the woman suffered a severe head injury. After being successfully resuscitated, she was taken to hospital in critical condition.

Police are now investigating the circumstances of the incident. Because of the incident, Czech Railways suspended service between Libeň, Masarykovo and the Main Railway Station — some suburban trains were cancelled, while express trains were rerouted, causing delays.
