Alina Janovská and Pavel Vojtík, the founders of the Czech bag brand Loro Oro, are ending the business after nine years. Only a few months ago, they were planning to expand into foreign markets and were in talks with a strategic investor.
The entrepreneurs hoped to build Loro Oro into a strong international business. Now, as they told Forbes in an interview, the company, which had kept growing, is shutting down.
The farewell will take the form of a final campaign called Last Dance, offering the last collections before the Loro Oro story comes to an end.
In the interview, Janovská and Vojtík explained why they decided to close a growing company, what ambitions it had and what lesson they took from the experience.
