Former O2 CEO Jindřich Fremut joins PPF board to lead AI push

Jindřich Fremut to lead PPF

Jindřich Fremut, the former CEO of mobile operator O2 Czech Republic, has become a new member of the board of PPF Group — he will be responsible for developing and rolling out artificial intelligence across all companies in the holding.

Fremut joins the group's duo of acting co-CEOs, Kateřina Jirásková and Didier Stoessel. His appointment is a logical continuation of the former O2 chief's recent move into the role of the company's director for AI transformation.

“Jindřich Fremut's appointment to the board reflects the strategic importance of technology, innovation and artificial intelligence for PPF's further development,” said Renáta Kellnerová, co-owner and chair of the group's supervisory board.

Fremut's arrival at PPF coincides with other personnel changes. After more than four years with the group, Ondřej Fridrich, who held the role of director for operational efficiency and remained a PPF board member until April 2026, is leaving the company. According to Renáta Kellnerová, Fridrich is returning to the investment firm Emma Capital.

The role of PPF's director of external relations, Jan Růžička, is also changing — from 1 October he moves into a position as adviser to the group's shareholders.
