Czechia's Digital Nomad Program lets IT and marketing specialists from 12 countries live in Czechia on a long-term visa while working remotely for a foreign employer or as freelancers with a Czech trade licence. Eligible citizenships are Australia, Brazil, Canada, Israel, Japan, Mexico, New Zealand, Singapore, South Korea, Taiwan, the UK and the USA. Applicants must show income of at least 1.5 times the Czech average gross wage.
Around Prague checked the programme rules on CzechInvest and Ministry of Foreign Affairs pages on 21 October 2026.

If you live in Czechia for more than 183 days a year, you usually become a Czech tax resident and must file a Czech tax return on your worldwide income. Remote employees should also check social security rules with their employer; a tax adviser is worth it in the first year.
