Outlets and Shopping in Prague

Updated: 15.07.2026

Prague's main outlets are Fashion Arena Prague Outlet (Štěrboholy district, Prague 10) and POP Airport (Tuchoměřice, near Václav Havel Airport): 30–70% discounts on more than 200 brands, available year-round. If you'd rather shop in the city centre, go for the big shopping centres — Palladium, Nový Smíchov, Westfield Chodov and Arkády Pankrác. Below is how to get there, what to expect, and how non-EU tourists can reclaim VAT through the Tax Free system.

Briefly, on the difference between formats: an outlet is a complex where brands sell past-season collections and leftover stock at discounts all year round; a shopping centre (mall) sells current collections at full price, with seasonal sales. Let's look at both options.

Fashion Arena Prague Outlet (Štěrboholy)

Fashion Arena Prague Outlet is the largest outlet in Czechia, located in eastern Prague (address: Zamenhofova 440, Praha 10 – Štěrboholy). It has over 200 shops from international and Czech brands; according to the centre, discounts run 30–70% off the regular price and apply year-round.

POP Airport — Premium Outlet Prague Airport (Tuchoměřice)

POP Airport is a large outlet centre near Václav Havel Airport, northwest of Prague (Tuchoměřice, Ke Kopanině 421). It features around 200 brands, and it's not just about shopping — there's a viewing terrace where you can watch planes take off and land.

Is there a McArthurGlen outlet in Prague?

Many people search for "McArthurGlen Prague", but the McArthurGlen chain does not have a designer outlet in Prague or anywhere in Czechia — its centres operate in Austria, Germany, Italy and several other countries. The closest one to Czechia is Designer Outlet Parndorf in Austria, but that's several hours away. For a day trip from Prague, Fashion Arena or POP Airport are far more practical.

Prague's major shopping centres

While the outlets are out of town, the malls are conveniently located right by metro stations. Opening hours are usually daily (roughly 9:00–10:00 to 21:00–22:00) — check the centres' websites for details.

After shopping, it's easy to continue exploring Prague's main sights or check out the events calendar.

Tax Free: VAT refunds for non-EU tourists

Tourists who aren't EU residents can reclaim part of the VAT (the standard rate in Czechia is 21%) on their purchases. The main conditions (check with the refund operator for current details):

When to expect the best discounts

At outlets, discounts apply year-round — that's the whole point of the format. At regular malls, sales (výprodej) are seasonal: winter sales run from late December through February, summer sales from late June through August, with Black Friday standing out in late November. We cover major openings and promotions in our Prague News section.
