The former director of Prague’s Motol Hospital, Ludvík, has been charged with the crime of “violating the rights of others” over intimate video recordings of women. This was reported by Novinky: investigators from the National Organized Crime Agency (NCOZ) found the recordings on his electronic devices.
According to the source, one of the women, after learning that Ludvík had recorded her during intimate contact, felt she was a victim. The criminal proceedings are being supervised by a prosecutor from the district prosecutor’s office in Prague 2.
Aleš Cimbala, spokesman for the Prague city prosecutors, confirmed that one individual is being prosecuted and that the charge is classified as violating the rights of others. He did not disclose further details: the pre-trial proceedings are confidential, so a description of the act and information about the victims are not being published for now. According to Ludvík’s prosecutor, the prosecution began in September this year.
According to the outlet, prosecutors and police delayed announcing the new charge until they had questioned the women affected.
Ludvík himself called the case a “side issue” and linked it to data protection rules (GDPR). In his words, the reality is quite different, and the charge looks like an attempt to put pressure on him in the main case. He does not accept the charge and has already filed a complaint.
His lawyer, Josef Monsport, said it is a “delicate matter” and that no one has an interest in making it public. According to him, it is unrelated to Motol, the Blue Pavilion, or the apartment that Ludvík allegedly received as a bribe. The lawyer refused to discuss the substance of the charge and called it nonsense.
