Woman who fled paramedics in Jesenice near Prague sought by police

Police in the Central Bohemian Region and Prague are searching for a woman from the town of Jesenice, near Prague, who ran away from an ambulance crew during a medical examination. According to police, the woman may have a knife on her, so anyone who spots her is advised to call 158 immediately.

What we know about the escape

Police say paramedics wanted to take the woman for a medical evaluation because of her long-standing suicidal tendencies. However, she broke free and ran off. Officers add that she has attempted to take her own life several times in the past and has been the subject of searches more than once.

Monika Nováková, a spokeswoman for the Central Bohemian Ambulance Service, confirmed that the escape took place the previous day, during an examination in a parked ambulance, not during transport. Her colleagues notified police right away, and the police are now leading the search.

What the missing woman looks like

The woman is currently being sought by patrols from not only the Central Bohemian police but also Prague officers. Because she may have a knife, police ask people not to approach her on their own and to call 158 right away.

According to the police description, the woman has a heavy build, gray eyes and straight brown hair.
