Train hits rocking horse left on tracks in Jihlava, Czechia

Someone put a rocking horse on the tracks in Jihlava, and a train hit it

Someone in Jihlava placed objects on the railway tracks, among them a child’s rocking horse, and a passing train hit them. The incident happened on Wednesday evening, and police reported it on Thursday.

“After hitting the objects, the driver stopped the train and reported the incident to the 158 line. There were seven passengers on the train at the time. Traffic on the line was interrupted for the time strictly necessary,” said police spokeswoman Dana Čírtková.

According to her, a preliminary inspection of the train showed that there was probably no material damage to the train. Officers from the Jihlava district police station took over the case and are investigating it on suspicion of attempted damage to another person’s property, namely the train. “Police are searching for the offender who placed the objects on the tracks,” Čírtková added.
