The autumn Flora Olomouc – Hortikomplex 2026 exhibition runs from 8 to 11 October at the Flora Olomouc exhibition grounds in Olomouc. The main display is called “Gifts of Our Land”, and alongside it visitors will find a gardeners’ market, a gastronomy festival and a beekeepers’ show.
The main display in Pavilion A is created by the well-known Czech florist Klára Franc Vavříková. She draws on the motifs of earth, sun, water and wisdom, linking them to the Czech landscape and the work of farmers. The composition uses Czech fruit, vegetables, flowers, and ornamental and fruit trees, complemented by floral arrangements. Czech professional horticulture is represented by leading industry organisations, with the emphasis on the Czech brands “Ovoce a zelenina s rodokmenem”, “Česká květina” and “Česká rostlina”.
“The display will show how diverse and high-quality the produce of Czech growers is, and how much work, experience and care stand behind it,” says Eva Fuglíčková, director of the exhibition complex.
For amateur gardeners, the Czech Gardeners’ Union will present “The Impressionist’s Garden”, a display on which 13 Moravian regional associations are working. The national final of the amateur florists’ competition will also take place here. Flower lovers can enter the “Autumn wedding bouquet from nature’s gifts” competition, with works judged by visitors in an open vote. Floral shows will be given by Tomáš Hakl, multiple Czech floristry champion, and Štěpán Svoboda, winner of the junior category of the “Děčínská kotva 2026” competition.
At the autumn garden market, visitors can choose from the wares of more than 200 sellers: fruit and ornamental trees, perennials, bulbs, heather, chrysanthemums, garden tools, decor, and regional and handmade products. You can buy directly from the growers and makers.
The OLIMA 2026 gastronomy festival will showcase Czech and regional products and current trends. The jubilee 30th Gastro Olomouc Olima Cup cooking competition for young chefs from secondary schools will take place, once again with students from Poland. The jury includes leading Czech chefs, among them Jan Horký, former captain of the Czech national culinary team, and Václav Šmerda, who has cooked for presidents. The Moravian Confectionery Championship, in 12 categories, will be judged by Vojta Vrtiška, winner of the TV show “The Great Czech Bake Off”. Leslie Klimuk will demonstrate working with 3D silicone moulds for cake decoration, and Lenka Přibylová will show lace work and present her book on the gingerbread craft. There will be tastings at Flora Košt, the Flora Mošt and Flora Džem competitions, and Pavilion E of the State Agricultural Intervention Fund (SZIF) with the KLASA and “Regional Product” brands.
Pavilion H is devoted to the international beekeepers’ exhibition “Haná Bee”. Lectures take place on Saturday, 10 October, and cover practical experience and the current problems facing beekeepers; both beginners and experienced keepers are welcome.
The terrace of Pavilion A hosts the “Harvest on the Terrace” programme: visitors can watch how jam, syrups, dried fruit, fermented vegetables, flavoured honey and cold-pressed oils are made, and taste them. Children will work with wood under the guidance of the “Little Masters”. On the open Samba stage, folk and country bands from Olomouc will perform, a bluegrass band on Sunday, and the science show “Space Expedition” on Friday. Outside, children can enjoy pony rides, a farm with domestic animals and carousels. The historic greenhouse hall will display farm implements from the collection of the Haná Open-Air Museum and pumpkins carved by schoolchildren.
The exhibition is linked to the centre of Olomouc: from 8 to 18 October, as part of the “Blossoming Monuments” project, floral installations will appear in the Chapel of Corpus Christi, Villa Primavesi and the Church of St Michael.
Practical information. The exhibition is open Thursday to Saturday from 9:00 to 17:00 and on Sunday from 9:00 to 16:00. Tickets are already on sale online. Parking is free for visitors at the P6 car park by Galerie Šantovka. Details: www.flora-ol.cz.
