Deputy Governor from Martin Kuba's Inner Circle Demolishes Her Own House by Dehtář Pond Over Permit Violations

In Czechia, the deputy governor of the South Bohemian Region, a close ally of regional governor Martin Kuba (from the "Naše Čechy" movement), is demolishing her own house built by Dehtář Pond. The reason: violations in the building permit documentation. Demolition began this week, and by Wednesday an excavator was already on site.

The official in question is Deputy Governor Kozlová. According to her, all the paperwork related to the project was handled by her partner, who works in construction, so she herself did not closely follow the process or know all the details. "But that, of course, doesn't absolve me of personal responsibility," Kozlová stated.

Governor Martin Kuba personally filmed a video at the demolition site, stressing that politicians from his movement are held to exactly the same rules as any other citizen. According to him, he told his deputy: "You need to deal with this the same way anyone else in this republic would have to."

Kozlová is one of Kuba's closest political allies — together with him, she left the ODS party at the end of last year.
