Former US President Joe Biden's cancer has metastasized to his bones and other organs, his son Hunter Biden said in an interview. According to him, the illness is causing his father significant pain and visibly draining his strength.

"The cancer has spread and metastasized to his bones and other parts of his body. It's very painful and it really wears him down a lot. It's genuinely sad to watch," Hunter Biden said, describing his father's condition.

The Diagnosis Timeline

Joe Biden announced his diagnosis in May of last year — less than four months after leaving the White House. Following the announcement, supporters of current President Donald Trump accused the former president of knowing about the illness while still in office and concealing it from the public. Biden himself has denied these accusations.

Plans Despite the Illness

Despite his serious health condition, Biden is scheduled to embark on a tour across the US in November. The trip coincides with the release of his presidential memoir, titled "Promise Me, America," whose US publication comes ahead of the midterm congressional elections.

Biden is now 83 years old, making him the oldest president in US history. However, should Trump serve out his term in full, he will beat that record by roughly five months.
