Pavel to attend meeting of the National Security Council

Czech President Petr Pavel will attend a meeting of the National Security Council. The press office of Prague Castle, the head of state’s residence, announced this.

By law, the president has the right to attend council meetings, to demand reports from the council and its members, and to discuss matters within their remit.

This is not the first time for Pavel: in July he already took part in a meeting that dealt with the resilience of Czechia, preparedness for emergencies and cybersecurity.
