Vyšehrad finishes basilica roof repair in half the planned time

Vyšehrad in Prague has finished repairing the roof of the Basilica of St Peter and St Paul ahead of schedule: the roofing and rafters of the main and south side naves were restored in half the planned time. This was made possible thanks to the enormous efforts of workers, technicians and donors.

The Vyšehrad Collegiate Chapter invites everyone who contributed to the repairs — technically, with a financial donation, through volunteer work or by spreading the word — to a thank-you event on Wednesday, 7 October, at 17:00 in the Vyšehrad basilica.

The programme will feature the Prague Mixed Choir under conductor Jan Štajer, with organ music performed by Filip Štovíček.
