Vsetín beat Havířov 4-0 and lead the Czech first hockey league

Vsetín beat Havířov 4-0 and moved three points clear in the first hockey league

Vsetín beat Havířov 4-0 in round 17 of the Czech first hockey league and moved into the lead: Vsetín have 39 points, three more than second-placed Pardubice B. The game drew 2,820 spectators.

It is already Vsetín's 13th win of the season. Goalkeeper Miroslav Svoboda recorded his fourth shutout. The goals came from Petr Straka (twice, in the 7th and 45th minutes), Vainhold and Klhufek.

Straka also picked up an assist. With 22 points he is second in the league scoring list. Ahead of him with 25 points is his teammate Tomáš Smerha, who had two assists in this game. Third in scoring is another Vsetín player, Pavel Klhufek, who has 22 points, like Straka.

Havířov, after a winning streak at the turn of September and October, have hit a bad patch: the team lost its fifth game in a row and dropped to 12th place.

Other results of the round: Jihlava beat Prague's Slavia 4-2 and climbed to fifth place with its sixth win in the last seven games. Pardubice B won in Chomutov 4-3 on penalty shots, Přerov beat Zlín 4-2, and Třebíč won 3-0 in Frýdek-Místek. Sokolov beat Kolín 2-0.
