Ústí Blows 3-0 Lead in Czech Second League as Draws Vanish from the Table

Football club Ústí nad Labem led 3-0 at half-time in the third-round North Bohemian derby of the second league, only to squander the lead and settle for a 3-3 draw with Česká Lípa. Belgian forward Idumbo-Muzambo was on target twice, taking his season tally to three goals, but between the 73rd and 81st minutes the hosts conceded three goals in a row.

Novotný and Hoj first put through their own net, before substitute Voštrhel completed the collapse. Thanks to their fighting comeback, visitors Arsenal picked up their second point of the season.

Dukla move top

Prague's Dukla climbed to first place on goal difference after beating Kroměříž 2-0, with goals from Hašek and substitute Šebrle. The club from Dejvice have now won their second match of the season on Julisky, while Kroměříž remain without a win and sit bottom of the table due to an inferior goal difference.

Karviná and Příbram keep up the momentum

Karviná picked up points for the second round running, beating Prostějov 2-1 away thanks to first-half goals from Samko and Kronus. The Hanácko side have still not won a single match this season.

Příbram turned the game around in Jihlava to win 2-1 and reach seven points — level with Dukla and Ústí. Jihlava had gone ahead as early as the second minute through Hošek, but Krulich's second-half brace secured the win for the visitors. It was Jihlava's first defeat of the season.

No more draws left

Opava and Kladno shared the points in a 1-1 draw, with all the decisive action packed into the final five minutes of regulation time. League newcomers Kladno went ahead through a goal from Hudec, but substitute Diao equalised for the Silesians. In the 90th minute, visiting player Novotný was sent off for spitting at an opponent. Both sides now sit on four points.

Vlašim staged a real second-half rout, thrashing Žižkov 4-1 at home. Viktoria had led at the break thanks to a goal from Hőnig, but Dordić and Hrubeš quickly turned the match around. The visitors were further weakened by Holaseks' red card, allowing the hosts to score twice more while up a man. It was the Central Bohemian club's first win of the season, while Žižkov suffered their second defeat.

Slavia's reserve side beat league newcomers Třinec 3-2, despite trailing by two goals after just 13 minutes. The Prague side managed to turn the match around before half-time thanks to goals from Rajnoha, Potměšil and Beliak. The team remain unbeaten this season, and this was their first win. Třinec, by contrast, are still searching for their first success — after two opening draws, they went home without a point for the first time.

The third round wraps up on Sunday with a clash between Ostrava's reserve side and Táborsko.
