On Friday evening, a column of roughly a thousand motorcyclists rode through Prague and brought traffic to a standstill on Wenceslas Square in the city centre, drawing crowds of onlookers.
The traditional ride, held annually for several years now, set off at 10pm from a car park near shopping centres in Chýšice, just outside Prague. This time around a thousand bikers turned up on machines of every make and model imaginable.

Police kept a close eye on the proceedings, with traffic officers in patrol cars and on service motorcycles, along with a special public order unit, deployed along the route.
Shortly after 10pm the convoy pulled out of Chýšice and headed for Prague, and within a quarter of an hour — around 10:15pm — hundreds of motorcycles had already reached Wenceslas Square in the very heart of the capital. Once nearly the entire thousand-strong group had gathered there, traffic on the square effectively ground to a halt.

Despite the sheer scale of the event, no serious incidents requiring police intervention were reported throughout the evening.
