Ukrainian Drones Strike Another Wildberries Warehouse — This Time in Yekaterinburg

A Wildberries marketplace warehouse caught fire in Yekaterinburg following an attack by Ukrainian drones. According to TASS, citing Sverdlovsk Region Governor Denis Paslier, debris from three drones fell onto the building's roof, and there were no casualties. He said a total of eight drones were shot down over the region.

Wildberries warehouses under attack since July

Ukrainian forces have been striking Wildberries logistics centers almost daily since mid-July. According to Reuters, nearly 20 major warehouse complexes belonging to the company have now been partially or fully destroyed — even though many of them are located far from the front line.

Kyiv has placed Wildberries on its sanctions list, claiming the company helps supply the Russian army. Moscow uses the exact same argument to justify its own strikes on postal and logistics facilities in Ukraine.

"We promise to destroy everything"

Wildberries is often described as Russia's answer to Amazon, with countless small Russian entrepreneurs selling goods through the platform. According to the company's own figures, it operated more than 40 of its own warehouses in Russia at the start of this year, and when sorting centers and other logistics facilities are included, the total number of sites reaches roughly 200.

The commander of a Ukrainian drone unit who goes by the call sign Brovdi told the German outlet Tagesspiegel that Ukraine will destroy all Wildberries warehouses by no later than the end of September. "Nothing will be left. Take this as a promise," he said, describing the strikes as a harsh signal to Putin demanding radical action — namely, withdrawing Russian troops from Ukraine and ending the bloodshed.
