Actor Jamie Foxx, 58, and his girlfriend, Alyce Huckstepp, 31, have welcomed their first child together, according to People, which was first to report the news. Sources confirmed the birth to People on Nov. 4, and E! News said it had also learned of the baby's arrival.
The baby is Foxx's third child. Details such as the child's name, sex and birth date were not disclosed in the reports, and Foxx's representatives did not immediately respond to InStyle's request for comment.
Foxx already has two daughters. Corinne, 32, is his child with ex Connie Kline. His other daughter, Anelise, is his child with ex Kristin Grannis. Reports differ on her age: InStyle gave it as 18, while E! News said 17. E! News also referred to her as Anelise Bishop.
Foxx told E! News that he had doubts at first, saying, “Being my age, I was a little on the fence.” He said that changed after he ran into Al Pacino, 86, a few months before the interview. According to InStyle, Pacino welcomed his fourth child at 83.
Foxx joked that he asked Pacino whether he would be back in the school drop-off line, then concluded that he felt fine about his own situation.
For Foxx, the birth means a new household dynamic: a baby with Huckstepp and two older daughters who, E! News noted, are now big sisters. Beyond that, the reports point to a possible change of address. E! News said the couple appeared to have planned their family with Huckstepp's Australian roots in mind.
In the Nov. 2 Daily Mail interview, as cited by E! News, Foxx said he would “of course” be open to relocating his family to Australia and added, “Imma find a place.” He also told the outlet that inviting Huckstepp's relatives to join the couple's vacation in Melbourne was an easy decision because she is from Australia. No move has been announced, and the reports do not say where the family currently plans to live.
E! News also pointed to comments Foxx made in 2017 on the Ellen Digital series Dad Confessions, in which he said the best part of fatherhood is hearing his daughters call him “dad” and watching them light up when he enters a room.
