Part of the Chonhar road bridge, which connects the Kherson region with Crimea, has collapsed after a series of strikes on the crossing. The monitoring Telegram channel Dnipro OSINT reported the news, calling the bridge one of the key land crossings between the Kherson region and Crimea — a vital logistics artery regularly used by Russian armed forces.
According to the channel, satellite images from September 26 showed three bomb craters on one of the parallel bridge lanes. This, it noted, significantly hampered traffic and caused jams in logistics, including military, transport.
An image from September 30 shows that the damaged section of the bridge deck has already collapsed.
Russian occupation authorities closed traffic on the bridge back in July this year, after a series of Ukrainian strikes on Chonhar and on the Dzhankoi crossing.
