Ukrainian drones strike Wildberries warehouse near Ryazan, six people injured

Overnight, Ukrainian drones struck a logistics centre belonging to Russian online retailer Wildberries in Russia's Ryazan region. According to the Telegram channel Astra, thick smoke rose over the industrial site, with eyewitnesses posting footage of the blaze. Analysts from the channel confirmed that the strike indeed hit the Wildberries complex.

The Telegram channel Exilenova+ published the facility's exact coordinates along with several videos and photos of the fire. According to its report, the warehouse was built in 2023 and opened a year later. Astra also reported that following the attack, the Russian company restricted access to the warehouse grounds in Ryazan.

Ryazan region governor Pavel Malkov did not directly confirm that the Wildberries site had been hit, but acknowledged that the enemy had struck one of the region's enterprises. "A massive drone attack is being repelled in Ryazan, and air defence is operating. A fire broke out on the territory of one of the enterprises. Emergency services are working at the scene," he wrote on Telegram.

The governor later clarified that six people had been injured as a result of the strike. "Six people have currently been hospitalised. Their lives are not in danger, and doctors are providing the necessary care," he said in a follow-up post.

According to Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky, Wildberries warehouses are also used to store dual-purpose goods — including drones and navigation equipment. This is not the first time Kyiv has targeted the company's facilities: in July, Wildberries logistics centres were hit in the Leningrad, Moscow, Tambov and Voronezh regions, in Krasnodar and Stavropol territories, as well as on the occupied Crimean peninsula.

In addition, according to Exilenova+, Ukrainian forces struck an oil refinery in the Ryazan region the same night — the channel published footage of the burning facility.
