Radek Musil is stepping down as chief executive and deputy chairman of the board of the arms holding Colt CZ Group. The company announced this on Friday; the resignation, for personal reasons, takes effect on 30 September.
Musil had headed Colt CZ since January 2025. Before that, he spent 25 years running the company Sellier & Bellot, where he concluded a number of major international contracts and secured a controlling stake in Synthesia Nitrocellulose.
From 1 October, the duties of deputy chairman of the board will be taken over by current board member Jan Holeček — he will oversee sales and marketing in the small arms and ammunition segments until a new CEO is appointed.
Board member Martin Durčák will take charge of the energy materials division, while the current deputy chairman Josef Adam is responsible for the group's other areas of activity.
The position of CEO will remain vacant for the time being, as the company searches for a suitable candidate. The appointment of a new chief executive is expected sometime between the last quarter of 2026 and the first quarter of 2027.
