The Jazz Republic music club sits right in the heart of Prague, though finding it isn't as easy as you'd think — the venue is tucked away in the vestibule of the Můstek metro station, on the yellow line.
The club is well known among locals, largely because it mostly features Czech musicians on stage. It specializes in jazz, acid jazz, jazz fusion, funk, blues, dance, and even Latin sounds. Thanks to the tireless work of the organizers and musicians alike, the lineup changes every month, so listeners can keep enjoying fresh takes on this timeless music. Concerts usually kick off around nine in the evening; before that, the venue operates as a restaurant, serving pizza, spaghetti, and salads, along with draft beer, Czech and imported wines, cocktails, and spirits.
Live music plays every night, with tickets averaging 100 CZK — though groups of four or more get a discounted rate of 75 CZK per person. Free tables do come up, but not often, so it's best to book ahead.
