The Odyssey is a new film adaptation of Homer's legendary epic about the king of Ithaca, who, after his victory at Troy, tries to make his way home to his wife Penelope and son Telemachus. But the gods, angered by his audacious deeds, stand in the hero's path, turning a simple journey into a series of deadly trials — from monsters and giants to the enchantments of the sorceress Circe.

The film boasts a star-studded cast: Matt Damon, Tom Holland, Anne Hathaway, Robert Pattinson, Lupita Nyong'o, Zendaya, Charlize Theron and others. While Odysseus fights his way home, Penelope single-handedly holds off suitors intent on seizing not only her but the entire kingdom of Ithaca.
