Zelensky warns Russia is preparing strikes on Dnipro bridges

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky has warned that Russia is preparing a new large-scale strike on the energy sector, the Dnipro bridges and civilian infrastructure. He said so in his latest evening address, citing intelligence data. According to him, the air force and the armed forces are preparing to repel the attack.

“It is not easy,” the president admitted. Ukraine's army, he stressed, is badly short of weapons to shoot down enemy aircraft, missiles and drones. Kyiv is asking its allies not to put off deliveries.

Such warnings usually come true

This is not the first time Zelensky has publicly warned of major Russian strikes. As a rule, the attack itself follows within the next 24 hours after such a statement.

Diplomacy and personnel changes

The president also confirmed that Ukraine is continuing its diplomatic efforts to achieve peace. According to him, meetings are being held in formats involving Americans, Europeans and Russians. “We are not slowing down our work. It is not easy, but we must move toward ending the war, coordinating our actions with our partners,” Zelensky said.

At the end of his address, he hinted at coming changes in the military: according to him, a personnel decision in Ukraine's armed forces is being prepared together with the commander-in-chief. The president did not reveal any details.
