Trump Secretly Smuggled Through a Food Container Amid Iranian Assassination Threat

US intelligence agencies reportedly devised a secret operation to move President Donald Trump after the NATO summit in Turkey, prompted by a credible assassination threat from Iran. According to the American press, the plan was drawn up within hours of officials concluding that the Iranian threat was genuine — Tehran has openly discussed the possibility of an attempt on Trump's life.

How the Secret Transfer Unfolded

Trump had flown into Turkey aboard the Boeing 747-8 gifted by Qatar. On July 8, US officials had already stated that, for security reasons, the president would leave the country aboard the older Air Force One.

Trump did indeed board that aircraft. However, according to the American outlet, he was then secretly moved through a food-catering container into a third plane, which he used to fly to the United Kingdom. There, he was covertly transferred back onto Air Force One — and only once aboard, in front of the cameras, did he switch to the Qatari-gifted jet, which ultimately carried him back to the United States.

Unusual Secrecy Raises Questions

According to The Washington Post, Trump flew to the UK aboard a C-32A, the military version of the Boeing 757. The New York Times noted that it is unusual for US authorities to mislead the public and withhold accurate information about the president's actual whereabouts.
