Prague transport updates schedules from late summer: metro to run more often on Sundays

As the summer holidays draw to a close, passengers of Prague's public transport network are in for some notable changes to the PID system. According to the Prague Integrated Transport authority, the main update is the unification of metro and most bus timetables on Saturdays and Sundays — meaning metro trains will run more frequently on Sundays and during morning hours.

Changes to Prague bus routes

Several bus lines will also see route changes. Line 158 will now run via the Toužimská and Nové Letňany stops, no longer serving Staré Letňany. Line 166 will stop calling at Nové Letňany, with bus 158 taking over that stop instead. Line 278 will follow a new route via the Toužimská stop. A full list of changes is available on the Prague Integrated Transport website.

What's changing in the Central Bohemian Region

The most significant changes will affect bus service in the Střední Čechy area northwest of Prague, as well as in Nymburk and its surroundings. Several stops in Nymburk itself will be renamed. Additional services will be added, among others, on routes heading toward Roztoky, Jinočany and Jesenice.
