PPF is creating a new executive position — Group Chief AI Transformation Officer — to be filled by Jindřich Fremuth, longtime head of O2 Czech Republic. Starting September 1, 2026, he will be responsible for developing and implementing artificial intelligence across all of PPF's structures, and will also lead the strategic direction of the Unity project, which brings together the group's telecommunications, media, and financial services into a single ecosystem for customers.
O2 Czech Republic itself will be taken over on the same date by Richard Siebenstich. PPF Co-CEOs Kateřina Jirásková and Didier Stoessel said the company is entering a new phase of transformation in which artificial intelligence will become one of the main drivers of growth — first and foremost for projects such as Unity and Oneplay.
Fremuth led O2 Czech Republic for nine years, having joined the company even earlier, back when it was owned by Spain's Telefónica. Before that, he worked as a technology consultant at McKinsey & Company. "Artificial intelligence is one of the key themes of my professional career," Fremuth noted. He will, however, remain chairman of O2's board.
