Ambulance carrying patient overturns in crash in Jihlava Region

A crash involving an ambulance and a passenger car has occurred in the Jihlava Region — the ambulance flipped onto its side after the collision, while the car ran off the road. Three people were injured as a result, police spokeswoman Dana Čírtková reported.

According to her, the accident was reported at 2:40 p.m. The road was left impassable, and all units of the integrated rescue system were sent to the scene. Traffic was partially restored from around 3:30 p.m., with vehicles allowed through one at a time in a single lane.

At the moment of the crash, the ambulance was on its way back to the hospital with a patient on board. According to Petr Janáček, a spokesman for the emergency medical service, three ground crews and a rescue helicopter from Jihlava were dispatched to the scene. Paramedics treated all three people injured in the wrecked ambulance.
