Ex-Czech forward Skuhravý owes almost 6 million crowns over a leased car

Former Czech national team forward Tomáš Skuhravý has found himself in serious financial trouble — his total debts now exceed 8.7 million crowns. The Blesk portal has published details, including exact figures and the origins of the mounting arrears.

His biggest creditor is A. P. C. Four, to which Skuhravý owes 5,597,642 crowns. The debt began with a leased car: the top scorer in the history of Prague's Juvenis (Jana), he stopped keeping up with payments, and in 2005 a court ordered him to repay 300,000 crowns. Since then the debt has changed hands between creditors several times and ballooned to an almost unbelievable sum — nearly 18 times the original amount.

A house that was never paid for

The current sporting consultant for first-league club Slovácko owes another 1,607,312 crowns to AO4 Omega. This debt dates back to when Skuhravý and his then-wife decided to build a house near Prague. The man who scored five goals at the 1990 World Cup put down just 10% of the price, and the same pattern repeated itself as with the car: payments stopped, the debt kept growing, and it has now reached its current size.

These two debts alone add up to more than 7 million crowns — over 80% of the former footballer's total liabilities. A notable share also comes from mandatory health insurance: due to non-payment and penalties, it has climbed to 471,215 crowns.

Smaller debts and a minimum wage

The remaining amounts consist of unpaid enforcement costs, fines from the Prague public transport company, and debts owed to a mobile operator.

Skuhravý therefore finds himself in an extremely difficult financial position. According to the latest information, his services at Slovácko are valued at around minimum wage, so a swift repayment of his debts seems unlikely.
