Kabát postpones concerts after three band members fall ill

The band Kabát is postponing concerts because of illness: three members cannot speak, let alone sing. The musicians will not perform in Slovakia on the original dates, and the last planned concert of the tour will take place on 11 November at Prague’s O2 arena.

“Health problems are crushing us and we cannot shake them off. Three members of the band cannot speak, let alone sing. Josef’s doctor has even forbidden it. We unanimously agreed that we will not embarrass ourselves and will not perform in Slovakia on the original dates. Neither we nor you would enjoy it,” the band wrote on Facebook.

Singer Josef Vojtek said in a Facebook video that after the tour’s last concert on 11 November at Prague’s O2 arena, the band will rest for a week and then head out to the postponed concerts in Brno and Slovakia.

“We are negotiating replacement dates with the Slovak stadiums. Our vision is for Tour 2026 to continue after the postponed Brno concerts on a Tuesday, Thursday, Saturday schedule, if the stadiums can fit us in. As soon as we have more details, we will let you know on our website and social media,” the band’s statement says.
