Brno coalition: all parties except ANO agree on a governing alliance

All parties except ANO to join the new Brno coalition

All parties except ANO will join Brno’s new city coalition. This was announced by Hruška: representation on the council will reflect the final election results. A few polling stations are still being counted, after which the seats will be allocated.

The Brno election was won by the KDU-ČSL and STAN bloc, which finished ahead of ODS and TOP 09. ANO, which came third, will go into opposition. The coalition will also include the Greens with the “Live in Brno and Partners” association and the TU coalition led by the Pirates. The “For Lužánky” movement, which grew out of the fans of the football club Zbrojovka Brno, will also get a seat.

Which partner will head which department will be decided at the next round of talks: they will continue on Sunday.
