Slavia striker Tomáš Horý will most likely continue his career abroad. His agent, David Nedoha, said so in Prague: after the latest scandal, the club and the player will have to look for new options, Sport.cz reports.
Horý did not fly to Istanbul because of an incident over the weekend and will miss the Champions League match against Fenerbahçe. Meanwhile, Slavia coach Jindřich Trpišovský said: “He will not play for us again.” The agent had not yet heard those words at the time of the conversation.
Behind the scenes, there is talk of a possible (and very high-profile) return of Horý to Plzeň, but moving abroad is also an option. “We already had some offers back in the summer. Tomáš wanted to stay in Czechia. Now we will probably reconsider and look for a club abroad,” Nedoha said.
Among the possible destinations, the agent named Greece, Poland and Cyprus: “Anything is possible. There is also a hint of an offer from Saudi Arabia and one from Dubai. We need to sit down with Slavia and discuss the options.” The agent did not reveal what exactly he had discussed with the player. For now, Horý is training in Prague with the first team, although it is heavily depleted: almost the entire squad is in Turkey.
If the move happens, it will be his second experience abroad. He spent almost the whole 2020/21 season at Belgium’s Zulte Waregem on loan from Plzeň, scoring four goals in 16 league matches and adding one assist.
Former Viktoria teammate Milan Petržela also advises Horý to leave: “It would be a decent step. In his place, I would choose going abroad, to get some distance and let everything settle down.”
