Marek Dospiva, co-founder and co-owner of the investment group Penta Investments, will explain at the Money Maker conference how modern Prague is built and why Czech business is increasingly looking towards London. The conference takes place on 10 November 2026 in the renovated Industrial Palace at the Prague Exhibition Grounds in Výstaviště.
Penta was founded in 1994. Today the group operates in eleven countries and has gradually expanded into retail, healthcare, real estate, financial services and media. In Czechia it owns the Dr. Max pharmacy chain and the Penta Hospitals network. Penta also builds in Prague and Bratislava, and since last year it has been active on the London property market too.
Another speaker, Jan Fidler, is also aiming at London. He co-owns the development group Sebre with Petr Němec. Together with the court architect Stanislav Fiala, the group is behind Prague projects such as Drn, the reconstructed Sporck Palace and the residential building Komunardů 35. Sebre is now completing a large development at Šemíkův břeh on the Smíchov embankment, while directing most of its energy to London and Belgrade, where it is building the Marina Dorćol district. At the conference Fidler will explain why Czechia is no longer so interesting for their business.
Real estate at Money Maker will not be limited to these two names:
The practical side will be covered by small-group workshops. They will be led by Robert Sedláček and Matěj Šganilec of the Spielberk real estate fund (Sedláček has more than twenty years of experience in property deals), as well as Barbora Adamčíková and Gabriela Tomášková of BuyDubai, who guide clients through buying, managing and selling apartments in Dubai.
Most of the programme will be devoted to investment and business. Speakers include Czech National Bank governor Aleš Michl on the digital koruna, investor Michal Semotán (now with the PPF group) and Zásilkovna founder Simona Kijonková, who will explain why after her exit she is betting on dozens of small companies. Guests also include former goalkeeper Petr Čech, Jaroslav Bek and Tomáš Mikolov of the startup BottleCap AI, and surgeon Tomáš Šebek.
The conference runs under the motto “Investing for a better life”. More than two thousand visitors and over sixty speakers on two stages are expected. Tickets are on sale on the conference website.
