Apple Sharply Raises iPhone 18 Pro Prices — Price Hike Reaches 15,000 Crowns

Apple has unveiled pricing for the new iPhone 18 Pro and iPhone 18 Pro Max, and Czech buyers will have to dig noticeably deeper into their pockets compared to last year's models. The price gap for the top-tier 2TB version reaches as much as 15,000 crowns. Pre-orders open Friday, September 11, at 2:00 PM, with the phones hitting store shelves a week later, on September 18.

Base models got pricier too

The entry-level iPhone 18 Pro with 256GB of storage now costs 34,990 crowns — 2,000 crowns more than the equivalent iPhone 17 Pro configuration a year ago. The 512GB version will set buyers back 40,990 crowns, also a 2,000-crown jump from last year. The 1TB variant, however, saw a much steeper increase: 52,990 crowns compared to last year's 44,990 — a difference of 8,000 crowns.

For the first time, the Pro lineup now includes a 2TB storage option priced at 70,990 crowns — previously, that capacity was reserved exclusively for the flagship Pro Max.

Pro Max hit even harder

Owners eyeing the iPhone 18 Pro Max will feel an even bigger pinch. The base 256GB version now costs 37,990 crowns — 3,000 crowns more than the iPhone 17 Pro Max a year ago. The same 3,000-crown premium applies to the 512GB version, which now costs 43,990 crowns.

The 1TB model climbed by 9,000 crowns, reaching 55,990 crowns. But the steepest price jump belongs to the top-tier 2TB version: it now costs 73,990 crowns, up from last year's 58,990 crowns. That's a difference of exactly 15,000 crowns.

What buyers get for the extra money

For the higher price, Apple is offering the new A20 Pro chip with improved cooling and a noticeable performance boost, along with a Super Retina XDR display featuring ProMotion technology.

The biggest upgrade concerns the camera system: all three rear modules now feature 48-megapixel sensors, and the main Fusion camera comes equipped with a variable aperture for the first time, allowing users to control light intake and depth of field. The smartphone supports 8x optical zoom and can shoot Dolby Vision video in 4K at 120 frames per second.

The two models still differ in screen size: the iPhone 18 Pro features a 6.3-inch display, while the Pro Max comes in at 6.9 inches. For the larger model, Apple promises up to 43 hours of video playback on a single charge.
