Firefighting Experts Break Down Which Hoses Work Best in New Podcast

Firefighting specialists Martin Kavka and Jakub Kozák have released a new podcast dedicated to choosing the right firefighting tactics — specifically, the use of various types of fire hoses and high-pressure systems.

A significant part of the conversation focuses on the rapid spread of the so-called “D program”, which is gaining increasing popularity among fire crews. The D-type hose is not only lighter than traditional alternatives but also highly efficient in water consumption — a key advantage when tackling large-scale wildfires.

But the hosts raise an important question: is this type of hose suitable for putting out a fire in an apartment? The experts also take a close look at high-pressure systems and COBRA equipment, which in Sweden is used to extinguish virtually any type of fire.
