Missing 12-year-old boy in Brno: police ask public for help

Police in Brno search for 12-year-old boy who did not return from school

Police in Brno are searching for a 12-year-old boy who left for school on Friday and never came home after classes. According to police spokesman Petr Vala, the boy's father contacted police on Saturday morning: the family had looked for their son until late at night without finding him, and reported the disappearance only the next day.

The boy lives in Brno and attends a local primary school. Vala said he is Ukrainian and understands Czech, slim and about 165 centimetres tall. He has no money or mobile phone with him and is not active on social media.

The officer described his clothing as a black-and-green camouflage jacket, long black tracksuit bottoms and black sports shoes with green details. He was carrying a blue backpack with a picture of planets.

Given the child's age and the likelihood that he spent the night outdoors, police consider him a child in danger. “We ask the public to help with the search. If you have seen the boy or know where he is, please contact us on the emergency line 158,” Vala urged.
