As of 30 October 2026, the Potraviny na pranýři register holds 7 current records of closed food businesses and shops in Prague, out of 66 across Czechia. All seven show the status “Znovu otevřeno” (reopened): the ban was lifted in full or in part. Another 34 records cover food sampled in Prague. Around Prague checked the data against the register on 30 October 2026.
Potraviny na pranýři (“food in the pillory”) is a public website of the Czech food inspectorate SZPI, online since 10 July 2012. Its filter also lists the veterinary authority SVS, but all 100 records we opened came from SZPI.
“Closed” means the ban applies. “Reopened” appears once the faults are fixed and the ban is lifted, even if only for part of the premises. Records older than six months move to the archive.
An app exists for Android and iOS. A missing record is no verdict: the register only lists closures and food that failed a check.
We opened all 66 current Establishments records, published 30 April to 26 October 2026. Seven are in Prague, listed by close date. Each record applies only to its date: the business may have fixed everything since.

Each row quotes two items; the link opens the full list. The register has no separate inspection date, so we give the close date. Districts come from RÚIAN address data. Sole traders appear by trading name or address only.
“Výrazně zanedbaný úklid” (neglected cleaning) appears in 6 of the seven records, rodent droppings in 3.
The Food section shows 34 records for Prague, published 4 May to 30 October 2026: 20 from retail, 9 wholesale, 3 online shops, 2 fast food. No names here: a record concerns a batch and has no decision-status field.

Records have no field saying a decision is final, and they do not show whether the operator appealed. Under Act No. 146/2002 Sb. an appeal is due within 5 working days and does not suspend the ban.
SZPI oversees restaurants, cafés, bars and fast food, and you can file a complaint on the register site. See our Prague restaurant guide and safety guide.
